An exclusive viewing of John Illsley in the studio recording ‘Toe The Line’ from his new album, ‘Streets Of Heaven’
Often described as ‘the engine room’ behind Dire Straits, John Illsley was an integral part of the band’s sound and there’s no doubt that the Brit legends would not have been the same band without him.
Although Illsley released two solo albums while in Dire Straits, Streets Of Heaven will be his first album proper since they decided to call it a day in 1995, and it’s well worth a listen. Illsley has enlisted the help of a host of great musicians including old band-mate, Mark Knopfler, who guests on two of the tracks.
The full track listing is as follows: Toe The Line, Tell Me, Streets Of Heaven, Young Girl, Only Time Will Tell, Banks Of The River, That’s No Way To Say Goodbye, I Thought I Saw It Coming, Is It Real, Big Top, Foreign Land.
John and his new band plan to tour later in the year both in the UK and abroad to showcase the new album.
