The North East Guitar Show Returns for 2014

The North East Guitar Show returns this year, moving to the new purpose-built event complex at Rainton Meadows Arena, Mercantile Rd, Houghton-le-Spring it will be held on Sunday 16th March from 10am to 4.00pm.

The event boasts over 100 dealers and is a great chance to buy, sell and trade new vintage and second hand guitars, amps, effects and accessories. Read on for more information….

For 2014 the NORTH EAST GUITAR SHOW moves to a superb new purpose-built event complex at Rainton Meadows Arena, Mercantile Rd, Houghton-le-Spring DH4 5PH, and will be on Sunday 16th March from 10am to 4.00pm.

This prestige and spacious location is close to all the North East major routes, provides superb facilities and has the advantage of easy load-in for exhibitors, excellent catering, licensed bar and free parking.

With space for more than 100 dealers the show is a wonderful opportunity to buy, sell and trade new, vintage and second hand guitars, amps, effects and accessories. There will be bargains and special show deals. Free appraisals of instruments and amps will be available.

Many major retailers and distributors will be attending together with a host of second-hand and vintage dealers, parts suppliers and luthiers.

Live music, workshops and demos all day. Savage Guitar Studios presents North East guitar legend, Jimi Savage with friends, demonstrating searing versions of rock classics by Satriani, Vai, Malmsteen etc; hard rocking local guitarist/songwriter Jonny Boyle is back by popular demand with The Radio Band while virtuoso shredder and guitar show favourite, Gavin Coulson will be putting Fret-King Guitars and Hughes & Amps through their paces.
For the acoustic contingent there is a very special treat with Auden Guitars hosting an acoustic showdown between progressive live looping specialist, Matt Stevens, and innovative young fingerpicker, Scott Booth.

Major local retailer J G Windows present ace session guitarist, Lee Wrathe, with Roland Boss products hot from the NAMM show including the new Boss ME-80 multi effects pedal plus Blackstar amps and effects workshops and demos with Sam Hirst.
The event is sponsored by J G Windows, Fret-King Guitars, Vintage Guitars, Hughes & Kettner and Auden Guitars.

The Show promises to be a treat for any guitar enthusiast.
