Summer NAMM 2016: Jackson adds several models to its line up

Jackson is pleased to announce several additional models for 2016, including new fanned-fret Soloist instruments, a brand-new Pro Series 7-string Soloist and X Series 7-string Rhoads, as well as an additional left-handed option and expanded finishes on preexisting models.

X Series Soloist™ Archtop SLAT7 FF

A high-performance evolution of the electric guitar, this 7-string fanned-fret model unlocks the possibilities of an instrument by accommodating two scale lengths (25.5”/27”) on one fingerboard, thus improving overall playing comfort as well as tension and intonation.
Features an archtop basswood body with a one-piece maple neck and scarf joint reinforced with two graphite rods for maximum neck stability, single-ply neck binding, a 12”-16” compound radius rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets, a pair of modern EMG® 808 humbucking pickups, Jackson designed individual staggered bridge saddles and Jackson AT1 (three on one side, four on the other) headstock with Jackson die-cast tuners.
Available in October 2016, the SLAT7 FF is offered in Metallic Blue with all-black hardware.

X Series Soloist™ Archtop SLAT8 FF

The Soloist Archtop SLAT8 FF is an 8-string fanned-fret model that is built with two scale lengths (25.5”/28”) on one fingerboard.

Standout features include an archtop basswood body with a Gloss Black finish, one-piece maple neck and scarf joint with graphite reinforcement, single-ply neck binding, a 12”-16” compound radius rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets, a pair of modern EMG® 909 humbucking pickups, Jackson designed individual staggered bridge saddles, 3-position toggle and all-black hardware.

Available October 2016.

Pro Series Soloist™ SL7

Designed for fans of 7-string guitars, the Pro Series Soloist™ SL7 is a unique music machine that redefines metal prowess and innovative guitar design.

Premium features include a mahogany body with a Satin Black finish, 25.5” scale, one-piece maple neck-through-body with graphite reinforcement and scarf joint, single-ply neck binding, a 12”-16” compound-radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and alumiloid piranha neck inlays, a pair of Seymour Duncan® SH-6 7 pickups, recessed Floyd Rose® FRT-SSO2000 double-locking tremolo, all-black hardware and Jackson’s signature pointed 7-in-line headstock.

Available October 2016.

X Series RRX24-7

The X Series RRX24-7 is a 7-string model in Gloss Black featuring a basswood body, 25.5” scale, one-piece through-body speed maple neck with graphite reinforcement, 12”-16” compound radius dark rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays, white single-ply neck binding, black Jackson sealed die-cast tuning machines and Jackson’s noted pointed reverse 7-in-line headstock.

It’s also equipped with a pair of Duncan Designed™ HB-7 humbucking pickups and a Floyd Rose® Special 7-string double-locking tremolo bridge.

Available October 2016.

Soloist™ SL2L Left-Handed

Innovative, lightning fast, monstrous-sounding and more than easy on the eyes, the new Pro Series Soloist SL2L is the perfect match for left-handed modern metal musicians.
The SL2L features a mahogany body, 25.5” scale, maple neck with neck-thru construction and 12”-16” compound-radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and alumiloid piranha inlays.

Chosen specifically for their complementary sound, a pair of modern Seymour Duncan® Distortion humbucking pickups drives this guitar’s versatile sound. The SL2L is also equipped with a LH Floyd Rose® FRT-O5000 double-locking tremolo bridge, Floyd Rose® R3 locking nut, Jackson® sealed die-cast tuning machines and black nickel hardware to match the Metallic Black finish.

Available October 2016.

Soloist SLATXMG3-6

The X Series Soloist™ SLATXMG3-6 is back with a vengeance in two new extraordinary colors—Candy Metallic Blue and Copper Pearl.

Sleek, refined, and dangerous, the SLATXMG3-6 is art brought to life, tempered with high-tech performance for the ultimate metal machine. Featuring a basswood body with arched top, 25.5” scale, a maple neck with dual graphite reinforcement rods, single-ply neck binding, speed profile and 12”-16” compound radius rosewood fingerboard with piranha inlays. The guitar is also equipped with a pair of EMG active humbucking pickups (85 neck pickup and 81 bridge pickup), a Floyd Rose® Special bridge, Jackson-branded tuning machines and black hardware.

Dinky™ Minion JS1X

The popular JS Series Dinky™ Minion JS1X model will be available in a new striking Neon Green finish as of fall 2016, just in time for the holidays!

The 2/3-scale (22.5”) Minion guitar has a poplar body, speedy bolt-on maple neck with graphite reinforcement, a 12” radius rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and Jackson’s classic sharkfin inlays, dual high-output Jackson humbucking pickups and string-through-body hardtail bridge.

Rhoads RR Minion JSX1

Coming fall 2016, the JS Series RR Minion JS1X will be available in a new stunning Neon Pink finish.

Although diminutive in size, the 2/3-scale (22.5”) Minion guitars jam-packed with features, including a poplar body, speedy bolt-on maple neck with graphite reinforcement rods, a 12” radius rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and Jackson’s classic sharkfin inlays, dual high-output Jackson humbucking pickups and a string-through-body hard-tail bridge.
