Slash To Record Solo Album

Slash is set to record his first true solo album for April 2010 release.

Joining the guitar legend on the album are a number of guests including, Dave Grohl, Iggy Pop, Chris Cornell, Kid Rock, Ian Astbury, Duff McKagan and Ozzy Osbourne. His all-star band will be made up of Nine Inch Nails‘ stickman, Josh Freese and Chris Chaney from Jane’s Addiction and production duties fall to Eric Valentine (Queens Of The Stone Age, The All- American Rejects.)

“The idea was really simplein the beginning,” said Slash. “These are all artists I wanted towork with – that I thought it would be amazing to do something creative and collaborative. And I was so impressed with what everyone brought to the table.They were all so committed to doing a good job. And we had a lot of fun making these songs.”
