Guitar and Bass Magazine – Vol 25 No 7 is out now!

The latest issue of Guitar and Bass magazine is on sale Friday March 7th, and this month we’re shedding light on the best gear for 2014:

For all the talk about coolness and rock’n’roll, guitar culture (and that includes the likes of us) can often be quite conservative and retro-leaning. So this month’s cover story is unashamedly focused on the new models that were unveiled at the NAMM Show in California recently. Regardless of whether you’re in the market for new gear or not, there’s no doubting the pleasure of running your eye over what’s coming out this year and seeing what grabs your attention – and in our humble opinion, there’s plenty of gear due out in 2014 that’s potentially worth of your admiration.

If you’re a gear-hardy soul, feel free to go from our cover story straight to the reviews section, where offerings from Gretsch, Tone King and Seagull await your perusal. Spencer Davis and Adrian Belew take up time in the G&B interview chair this issue, and there’s some proper droolworthy coverage of Rolling Stones guitars to treat your peepers to…

Throw in our usual mix of vintage and workshops (there’s a particularly fine Superstrat-related one in this issue to check out) and we hope it’s enough to entertain you for the next wee while….

Gear for the Year  – The annual trek to California always throws up great new gear and some big surprises. Guitar and Bass sets out to select the very best…

Interviews – This month the G&B hotseat welcomes Andy Babiuk to discuss the Rolling Stones gear, Spencer Davis talks exclusively as does guitar monster Adrian Belew

Reviews – Reviewed this month we have the Gretsch G5620T-CB, the PRS SE Custom 24 7-String, the Tone King Sky King, MXR Phase 99 and much more…

Vintage – Tom Doughty made the most of his challenges and changed musical paths to become a keen exponent and collector of slide guitars, from Nationals to Weissenborns and lap steels.
